Steve Kerr not ready to return to coach Warriors in NBA Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will meet in the NBA Finals for the third straight season beginning this Friday, June 1, but this time the victor will be able to boast years down the road as to how they won the rubber match between these two great teams. "We did whatever it took to get to that point", James said.

"I appreciate it. I'm happy we've been able to steamroll people, and I love the fact that they've been able to steamroll people because I just love great things". Hes one of the most risky guys we have in the world already.

Not many people remember that James, into his 4th National Basketball Association season, led the Cavaliers to a surprising National Basketball Association final, getting past the Washington Wizards (in a sweep), a tough New Jersey Nets team and an even tougher Detroit Pistons team, which included James pulling off a few historic performances, including 48 points in Detroit in game 6. The Cavs counter with four players who have been selected to 24 All-Star Games - James (13), Kyrie Irving (4), Kevin Love (4) and Deron Williams (3). He is about to go to his seventh straight NBA Finals and has already proven that he is the best in the world. The Cavs-Warriors rivalry existed before Durant's arrival, and these will be very much LeBron's Finals (win or lose, because it always is), Steph Curry's Finals or even Draymond Green's Finals, but no player will be in the spotlight more than Durant. Can JR Smith finally get hot this postseason?

And this year's Golden State team is far more risky than last year's version that won a record 73 regular-season games.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant have trained together at least twice in their professional careers, including what was deemed "Hell Week" at the University of Akron during the 2011 lockout.

The Cavaliers are considered underdogs against the Warriors as the two teams are set to play for their third consecutive NBA Finals.

Kevin Durant, who signed a two-year, $54.3 million free agent contract last offseason, said his move to join the Warriors has not negatively affected the National Basketball Association and ruined parity in the league.

Durant, who previously faced James in the 2012 Finals with Oklahoma City, has taken a great team and elevated it to a almost unstoppable level.

"It leaves a lot of other teams saying, 'How do we get in that arms race?' " Malone said. The Warriors won three of four against Cleveland to start last year's Finals with Curry less than 100 percent healthy.

"He's one of the most competitive players in the league and he kind of spoke this into existence", Love said of Green's comments last fall.

"I only play blackjack in Vegas anyway, so it doesn't matter", he said. He has been just as good during the playoffs, if not better. The Eastern Conference Finals weren't as easy as the first two rounds of the postseason for Cleveland. It also made a difference when they needed to beat the Indiana Pacers in a tough, 7-game conference finals. But whatever happens, Cavs-Warriors III will be the most-hyped showdown since Magic Johnson's Lakers vs. Larry Bird's Celtics in the 1980s. We don't know yet.

"I'm not well enough to coach games, and I know that because I coached all 82 games and I did OK", Kerr explained. But you wonder what's going on right now in Kerr's thought process.

While the Cavaliers have their "Big Three", they have reliable supporting casts who can play outside the arc.
