LG V30 launched with OLED FullVision display

The significant factor is that the phone is just 7.3mm thick and its weight 158 grams.

"While Apple fans might just see this as another big Android phone, it's the design and hardware that shines, a real boost to LG's smartphone appeal".

Like the G6, the V30 is representative of LG's recent back-to-basics mindset and conscious move away from gimmicks, such as the G4's leather back and G5's modular design. And in comparison to its predecessor, we wholeheartedly prefer the V30's new look, and find it to be more attractive this time around. Here we focus on what's different in the V30 than the LG G6. LG's attempt to steal the spotlight will not go unnoticed, rocking some impressive specs, including a Snapdragon 835, dual cameras and a FullVision OLED display. It comes with an IP68 rating and is waterproof and dustproof.

The LG V30 comes out into the markets with a 6 inch, FullVision display. This however means that with this release, there is no longer a second screen, and features like the "Floating bar" have replaced it instead. The V30 includes 64GB of UFS 2.0 storage, while the V30+ variant will ship with 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage. "The V30 looks like it could be as good as anything else out there". The device features a 3300mAh battery that supports quick charge 3.0 and offers 50 percent charge in 30 minutes. Additionally, it features voice activation that allows users to lock the device and perform various actions.

The main 16 megapixel rear camera features an F1.6 aperture that LG says lets in more light for brighter shots, as well as "Crystal Clear Lens" aimed at delivering more accurate colours and clearer images. The larger lens has a standard configuration and the smaller is a wide angle one. LG's cameras are very underrated in the Android world. The primary camera of the phone is 13MP and the selfie front facing camera is 5MP. In LG V30, this camera is capable of facial recognition, even when the display is off. LG's Twitter sweepstakes offering three V30 units to participants also mentions that the winners should expect to receive their prizes approximately six weeks from Saturday, September 2, also suggesting that the device will be available for purchase come mid-October. LG G6 was good in terms of audio but, LG has improved the audio experience in LG V30.

Audio is carefully handled by its Quad DAC audio enhancement like the one of the V20. In its announcement, LG noted that the V30 Plus with 128 GB of storage will be available in "limited markets", though it didn't mention which ones.

Thanks to the number of leaks building up to the IFA reveal, the LG V30 doesn't have many surprises in store, but that hasn't stopped us going hands-on with the device. It will be more expensive as well.

As a YouTuber you know that professionally produced video can rake in tons of views and appreciation and that is why LG has added two software additions LG Cine Video and LG Cine Log.
