BlackBerry Motion revealed with 4000mAh and IP67 rating for ~RM1918

What was first known as the BlackBerry Krypton then referred to as the Motion is now official under the latter name.

The BlackBerry Motion is apparently a KEYone without the physical keyboard. While that one had a physical keyboard, the BlackBerry Motion has ditched it. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery and has a front-facing fingerprint scanner. As yet there are no details on whether the handset will also be headed to the USA and Europe.

The BlackBerry Motion features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution. Unlike many smartphones launched in 2017, the device sports a standard 16:9 display with noticeable bezels on the top and bottom. The Blackberry Motion is also water and dust resistant, thanks to the IP67 certification.

The BlackBerry Motion will initially launch in a "limited" capacity, first in the UAE and Saudi Arabia with a price tag of roughly $463.

If past releases are anything to go by, the BlackBerry Motion could have a release date in some markets before its worldwide launch. Made by TCL like BlackBerry's other handsets, the Motion packs a 5.5-inch screen and running on a Snapdragon 625 SoC platform.

Designed as a mid-range smartphone, the BlackBerry Motion is distinguished by its autonomy, among the highest in the market. It is claimed that this battery can be charged from zero to 50% in just 40 minutes and give up to two days of backup under moderate usage.

There's also a 12-megapixel camera on the rear which uses the Sony IMX378 camera sensor. The front shooter is a 8MP that comes with a selfie flash feature. The company is calling its operating system BlackBerry Secure, which will come with all security features that are available with a BlackBerry-branded smartphone.
